Monterey Bay Aquarium

This aquarium, located on Cannery Row in Monterey, is one of the largest aquariums in the world. It attracts more than 1.8 million visitors annually, and accommodates 35,000 plants and animals. In the heart of the aquarium is a 33-foot high tank for viewing California coastal marine life. The first in the world to grow live California Giant Kelp. Some of the sea life exhibits includes Jellyfish, Stingrays, Penguins and Sea Otters. The Outer Bay Wing features a one million gallon tank that has the largest single-paned windows in the world.
