Each Tuesday the Monterey Alvarado St. Farmers Market features wonderful produce, crafts, gifts and even quality entertainment such as Smiley Orca Face Painting. Artist Lisa Smiley has been participating in this special home town market now each week since late in Nov. 2004. This Smiley Orca Face Painting booth is usually placed near the corner of Alavarado St. and Bonificio Pl. Faces start at just $5 and you should see what you can become! Have her paint a tiger, cat, butterfly, dog, super hero, jelly fish or just a pretty little something. The memories you can creat are worth it! MPC Jazz Concert

The concert will begin with the MPC Jazz Improvisation Class playing standards from the jazz repertoire and continue with the MPC Big Band, directed by Eddie Mendenhall. 11th Annual Monterey Cowboy Poetry & Music Fetival

This popular annual event for all ages celebrates Monterey's contribution to our western heritage with cowboy poetry, music, and a first class Western Art and Gear show. The festival brings together people from all over the United States to enjoy and learn more about the cowboy way of life, including its history, current values and culture.

A CELTIC CHRISTMAS CELEBRATION WITH MOLLYS REVENGE, MOIRA SMILEY AND THE ROSEMARY TURCO IRISH DANCERS
A very special Celtic Christmas Celebration with Molly's Revenge, Moira Smiley and the Rosemary Turco Irish Dancers. Tickets are $18 in advance and $20 at the door. Advance tickets are available at the First United Methodist Church, Bookmark (307 Forest Avenue, Pacific Grove), The Works (667 Lighthouse Avenue). The community is invited to come out and celebrate the holidays with a special evening of Celtic music, song, story and dance. Mollys Revenge will donate 15% of the profits to the First United Methodist Church, and their CD sales will also support two worthy non-profit charities.
International Celtic touring band Molly's Revenge -- whose lineup includes bagpipes, fiddle, whistles, guitar, bouzouki and mandola -- have performed nationally and internationally in Australia and China. Acclaimed vocalist Moira Smiley is an accomplished singer in many styles and has been a finalist in the All Ireland Singing Competition.
The performance will include Christmas songs both old and new from many lands, all played with a Celtic twist. The audience will be able join in and sing some of their favorite carols. The evening will also include spell-binding folk tales set in the winter season, and dancers who will surely set everyones toes tapping.

Families of all ages are encouraged to bring their little ones to visit Santa Claus and enjoy music and dancing from local entertainers, artists and school groups from 5pm-9pm.
Many of the downtown galleries will also be open with holiday-themed d←cor, art and other original pieces. With plenty of FREE parking available, guests will be able to stroll throughout the streets of Pacific Groves historic downtown area. Families of all ages are encouraged to bring their little ones to visit Santa Claus and enjoy music and dancing from local entertainers, artists and school groups. Many of the downtown galleries will also be open with holiday-themed d←cor, art and other original pieces. Friday Night Lights is FREE and open to the public.
