From January 14 - 30, join the celebration in Monterey County as gray whales make their annual migration from Alaska to Baja California and back. The Monterey Association of Cultural Institutions (MACI) has special events and programs planned during the peak of the migration. From art exhibits and whale-watching outings to storytelling and activities just for children, there's something for everyone at Whalefest 1999. Collect stamps at five different locations and you'll win a free Whalefest commemorative pin. For more Whalefest information call (831) 644-7588 or contact individual organizations about specific programs and activities.
